Farhan completed his B.S. in Microbiology and Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Arizona. Starting with his undergraduate years, he has worked on various aspects of C. difficile infections. His doctoral research included exploring the consequences of the C. difficile diagnostic paradigm, and the systematic study of clinical strains that may escape detection. In his current role, Farhan is involved in the development of novel, non-antibiotic therapeutics against C. difficile and other pathogens. Beyond the lab, Farhan is a father of 2 young kids and vaguely remembers what hobbies are.
